Gnarls Barkley's Cee Lo Green Releases New Song, "Fuck You"

Perezhilton.com just announced that Cee Lo Green from the hit band Gnarls Barkley has just released a solo song. The song is called "Fuck You", a response to an ex-girlfriend that left him for a man with more money.

After hearing this song I completely agree with everything that Perez said about this being the next big song. This song is amazing and puts Gnarls Barkley's hit, "Crazy" to shame. The music is extremely catchy and fun and the lyrics are hilarious and something that I think everyone can relate to in one form or another.

The song has just been released, but I think that once it is out a little longer and receives more airplay it will be a smash hit that everyone will be singing.

Check out the video with lyrics below.

What do you think of Cee Lo Green's "Fuck You"? Do you think it could be this year's next big hit?

As Teen Hearing Loss Rises, Academic Performance Falters While Music Sales Soar?

Kimberly Cheng, a reporter for the news channel, KPSP Channel 2 News, just posted a completely bogus news story linking MINOR teenage hearing loss to poor academic performance. In her article, she claims that research conducted by Time proves that teenage hearing loss has been linked to slowing language development, lack of self esteem, and overall poor academic performance.

Once again, the blame for increasing hearing loss is no other than the music teens listen to.

As someone who has had a SIGNIFICANT hearing loss their entire life, I completely disagree with this story. I have lost over half of my hearing ability. In some high frequency sounds, I am completely death. I can not hear the difference between the words "shoes" and "choose", and so I pronounce them the same way.

My hearing disability has never really affected my academic performance. I graduated in the top 15% of my high school class with honors and a member of National Honor Society. I then completed my first two years of college at Gloucester County College, where I maintained a 4.0 average for much of time there. I graduated with honors, on time, and although help from student services was offered (such as note takers and translators), I never accepted it. I did all of my work on my own.

I am now transferring to Rowan University. I am double majoring in English and Journalism with a concentration in Creative Writing. If my language skills were so poor, wouldn't I have opted for a different major? I mean, clearly hearing impaired students can't read or write well.

Oh, and what do I do when I'm not in school? I definitely don't just sit around and cry myself to sleep because of my lack of self esteem. One of my favorite hobbies is GASP! listening to music! In fact, I am listening to Katy Perry's "California Gurls", as I write this. I am constantly playing music on my computer, radio, or really anywheres. I love to see my favorite musicians perform live. So far I have seen Britney Spears, O-town, Michelle Branch, American Idol 2 (season that had Clay Aiken...), American Idol 4 (season that had Carrie Underwood), American Idol 6 (season that had Jordin Sparks), Teddy Geiger, Tinted Windows, Cooper, No Doubt, Good Charlotte, Forever the Sickest Kids, Simple Plan, and several of my friends bands. I plan on seeing many more shows in the very near future. Clearly I am hearing impaired because of my love of music, not because of genetics or anything like that, despite what dozens of medical tests have proven...

OK, I think I'm done with this little rant of mine. I might just drop a line to this News Source though. Maybe they would like to hear my side of this story.

Thoughts?

The Ting Ting's Release New Single, "Hands"

My favorite British-based band, The Ting Tings, have finally released their new single and the first track off of their yet to be released album tentatively titled, Kunst.

The song is called "Hands" and has a more dancey electro-pop vibe to it than some of The Ting Ting's other songs. It kind of reminds me of a mixture of Lady Gaga and new-school Madonna. I like it, but I don't love it. I like most of the songs off of The Ting Ting's 2008 release, We Started Nothing.

Although I am disappointed in their new single, I still have hope that the rest of their album will be amazing. The Ting Tings are an incredibly talented, unique band. I am still excited to hear more of their music and I'm anxious for the release of Kunst. I believe that there will be better songs than Hands On. I think they just choose a poor song to release as their first single. :-/.

Click on the link below to hear "Hands".

What do you think of the Ting Tings new single? Do you like it, or do you prefer their old stuff? Will you buy "Kunst" when it is released?

Former member of the Pop Group S-Club 7 Announces He is Gay

Jon Lee, formerly known as the sweet blonde guy from the former TV series/pop group, S-Club 7, just announced to GT Magazine that he is Gay.

In his interview with the magazine Lee explains that he has never really felt the pressure to hide his sexuality. He blames the public for being unaware of his sexually because they "never asked".

Now that this has come out, I'm not really surprised. I didn't really suspect it in the past, but then again I was like, 10 when the show was still on air. I don't think I was quite old enough to catch on to it yet.

I wonder if he has himself a man? Too bad Lance Bass is dating Lorenzo Marteno, if those two got together they'd make a pretty good couple. It would be the ultimate gay blonde pop group duo!

What do you think about Jon Lee announcing his homosexuality? Are you surprised, or did you suspect it?

JD Salinger's..........Toilet.......to be Auctioned on E-bay

Don't get me wrong, I love JD Salinger and he has my uttermost respect. If I was like a millionaire or something I would surely love to purchase a piece of Salinger history. I mean, the man was one of the greatest writers of all time, a true legend that I can only dream of being half as talented as.

But, when I saw an article posted on Perezhilton.com explaining how his toilet was going up for auction on E-bay starting at 1 million dollars, my first reaction was "His toilet, what the hell?".

Why would anyone in their right mind want to buy another man's used toilet? OK, maybe Elvis I could understand. If your a true Elvis fanatic maybe you want to buy the piece of "furniture" he allegedly died on. But Salinger didn't die on his toilet, at least as far as I'm aware he didn't.

So why of all things to auction of, would they choose his toilet? Why not a personal copy of his favorite novel or his writing desk or something? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Perezhilton.com also mentioned that when Salinger died his wife got first dibs on all of his written work, much of which has never been published. His wife is planning on releasing it to the public, though (something Salinger definitely would NOT approve of!). Why not auction of one of the original scripts? They could bring in so much money that way and donate it to charity or something.

But a toilet? Really?

Anyway, are any of yous actually planning on bidding on Salinger's toilet? Thoughts?

Minature I-Pads to be Available in Time for Christmas

Perezhilton.com just announced that Apple will be making a line of 7 inch I-Pads in time for the holiday season.

The current I-pads are just over 9 and a half inches.

Honestly, I fail to see the point in this innovation. There's the standard size I-pad, apple laptops, I-phones, Ipods, and now a smaller I-pad? Why? They all do pretty much the same things, don't they? I mean, if you want something smaller than the I-pad why not just purchase and I-phone or an I-pod Touch? Do we really need a miniature I-pad? It almost seems like a waste of technology. But hey, maybe I'm just biased. I never got the point of standard I-pads either.

What are your thoughts on the new, smaller I-pads? Do you own a standard size I-pad? Are you looking to purchase the mini I-pad when it becomes available?

Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block, and Possibly Boyz II Men to Join Forces for Ultimate Boyband Tour

According to JustJared.com, 90's pop groups The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block are in negotiations to tour together this year. The tour will be run by Live Nation, who announced that they are also currently trying to get Boyz II Men to join the bandwagon. JustJared.com also stated that the management teams for The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block are also trying to arrange for the boy bands to create a duet together.

Are you excited for a BSB/NKOTB/Boyz II Men tour? Would you like to go and see any or all of these bands perform as a way to relive your childhood and/or the 90's Pop Generation, or are you so over these bands?

I was never really a fan of NKOTB or Boyz II Men, but I remember freaking out trying to get tickets to BSB back in the day (sadly I still haven't made it to one of their shows). I wouldn't mind trying to see them again today though! K.T.B.S.P.A.!!!!

Pink Floyd's Music No Longer Available for Internet Purchase

Perezhilton.com is reporting that a majority of Pink Floyd's music, such as their albums The Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here and The Final Cut are no longer widely available for internet purchase.

The reason for the unavailability is the band's contract coming to end on June 30th. The music will not be available online again until a new contract is reached. The band has confirmed that they are currently in the process of negotiating a new contract.

How will the unavailability of Pink Floyd's music to internet purchases affect you? Were you planning on purchasing a Pink Floyd album via I-tunes or another internet music site? Or are you one of the lucky ones who has already taken advantage of the oppurtunity to purchase Pink Floyd albums online in the past?

Brett Favre Confirms He Will Be Returning to Minnesota Vikings this Season

One of the NFL's most favored quarter backs, Brett Favre, has officially confirmed that he will be returning to play for the Minnesota Vikings this season, despite his injuries.

The quarterback had previously announced that he would be retiring, but after dining with his team mates, his mind was quickly changed. This is not the first time Favre has changed his mind about retiring, and I have a feeling it won't be the last, either.

Favre does not believe that his injuries will hold him back from playing well this season. In fact, he is confident in his ability to play better than ever.

What do you think about Favre un-retiring again? Are you excited to see him play? Do you think he will have a good season or do you think his injuries will get the best of him? After seeing how well he performed last season, I am confident that Favre will pull through again for another successful season and I am excited to see how far he will take the Vikings.

Good Charlotte Releases New Song, "Counting the Days" to Help Fans Count Down the Days Until "Cardiology"'s Release Date

Good Charlotte just posted via facebook a homemade video of them performing at several of this summer's Bamboozle Roadshows. The video included one of their new songs from Cardiology, "Counting the Days". The song was released to celebrate the band reaching 100k views for their first single, "Like It's Her Birthday", which will be released everywhere on August 24th, and to also help fans count down the days until the new album, "Cardiology" is released on November 2nd.

The song sounds absolutely amazing. It takes you back to Good Charlotte's earlier days as a new alternative band. The sound screams "self-titled debut!". I loved 2007's dancey "Good Morning Revival", but when it comes down to it, Old school Good Charlotte is the best Good Charlotte. I'm so excited to see the band going back to their roots and I can't wait for Cardiology to be released!

The band also hinted that new tour info would soon be available. I had the pleasure of seeing the band on the Bamboozle Road Show at Festival Pier at Penn's Landing in June and I can confirm that this band is absolutely amazing to see live. They really know how to get the crowd pumped! I'm so excited to see them again when they go on tour for "Cardiology".

You can view Good Charlotte's homemade video and listen to the new song for "Counting the Days" below.

What do you think of the new song? Are you excited for "Cardiology?". Do you want to see Good Charlotte on tour?

13 Year Old Boy Struck by Lightening at 13:13 PM on Friday, the 13th.

Did you catch all of that? Still believe that the number 13 isn't unlucky?

Yeah, try telling that to the 13 year old boy who was struck by lightening at 13:13 on Friday the 13th. The boy was struck while watching an air show. Medical professionals believe that the extensive use of umbrellas may have attracted the lightening that struck the boy.

The boy suffered only minor injuries that he is expected to make a full recovery from. However, I highly doubt he's a fan of the number 13 now. Maybe it would be best for him to stay indoors next Friday the 13th.

Tila Tequila Brutalized at Gathering of the Juggalos Show in Chicago

TMZ.com just broke a story about how Tila Tequila was brutalized following a Gathering of the Juggalos show in Chicago on Friday night.

The model's testimony over the event states:

"I went onstage and immediately, before I even got on stage, DUDES were throwing HUGE STONE ROCKS in my face, beer bottles that slit my eye open, almost burnt my hair on fire cuz they threw fire crackers on stage, and they even took the sh*t out of the port-0-potty and threw sh*t and piss at me when I was onstage."

The model was quick to leave Chicago after the incident, where she didn't even stay for treatment. Instead, she quickly boarded a flight to LA. Reporters and photographers met up with her at LAX where she was reportedly very shaken and scared and tried to hide her injuries with over sized sunglasses and by shielding her face with her hands. After leaving LAX Tequila checked into an Emergency Room where her face was stitched up.

TMZ has obtained several photos of Tequila's injuries which can be seen below.

Tequila has stated that she absolutely plans on pressing charges against her attackers. It is not yet known who her attackers were, but police authorities plan on searching through youtube content as a way of identifying the attackers.

This is horrible. Truly horrible. I hope they find out who the attackers were and I hope justice is served.

This week's box office winner is....

T

The Expendables!

The Sylvester Stallone film brought in a whooping $35 million, beating both Michael Cera's Scott Pilgrimage VS. The World and Julia Robert's "Eat, Pray, Love".

Will Ferrel's "The Other Guys" also got knocked down to third place.

Are you surprised with these box office results? I'm kind of surprise to see The Expendables take box office gold. Am I the only one who has never heard anything about this movie until like two days ago? I thought for sure first place would go to Michael Cera and "Scott Pilgrimage VS. The World". I heard so much about that film and so many of my friends went out to see it this week. I guess having Julia Roberts open at number 2 isn't all that surprising. I originally thought this movie would open big, until I read some of the reviews and realized it wasn't as great as a movie as everyone thought it was going to be. It really didn't seem to live up to its hype. Also, "The Other Guys" has been out for two weeks now, so sliding down to the number three spot isn't all that surprising. There has been so many cop comedy movies out that I'm surprised it debuted so highly at number one last week.

Did you see any of these movies this weekend? Which one(s)? What did you think of them?
