Is Carly Smithson the new Amy Lee?

PopEater! has just announced the confirmation that Carly Smith will indeed replace Amy Lee in the band Evanescene, which is now changing their name to "Fallen", after their previous CD. Carly Smithson finished 5th on the 7th season of American Idol. While she was on the show, Smithson sang many covers of Evanescene songs such as "Bring Me to Life". I personally feel that Smithson is a very talented singer and a great match for Evanescene, or erm, "Fallen", but Amy Lee was one in a million. She had a very unique style and voice and it will be rather difficult to replace her. I'm interested to see how Carly Smithson works out with the band, though.

Levi Johnston to become an actor?

When most people think of the Palins they immediately think of politics (or with the current scandal, I guess they could be thinking of Dave Letterman); so naturally people are bound to link Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's 18 year old daughter, Bristol,'s baby to politics. However, Johnston's future career plans don't seem to be anything close to politics. The 18 year old high school drop out recently announced that he would like to venture into a career in acting and modeling in order to support his child with ex girlfriend Bristol Palin. Johnston's manager supports this claim by explaining how the media and Johnston's publicity will prevent him from having a "normal" job.

I personally think an acting career for Levi Johnston will prove to be an Epic-FAIL. Johnston, save yourself the embarrassment and take the easy already some-what opened road to politics.

Jeff Archuleta arrested for prostitution

When David Archuleta's Dad, Jeff Archuleta, received massages at a massage parlor in Utah, he was recieving a whole lot more than just massages!

Archuleta, the father of pop singer David Archuleta, admitted to receiving sexual services and was arrested for doing so! He pleaded "no contest" to charges and was therefore forced to only pay a small fee of $582.

Even though Archuleta admitted to receiving the sexual services, his attorney is an idiot who insists that Archuleta was there only for his back problems.

I always knew Jeff Archuleta was an asshole, this only proves the case further. I feel sorry that this is David Archuleta's father and I hope that this latest scandal doesn't damage David's career too much.

is Rickey Martin Gay or Bi-sexual?

According to Perezhilton.com, Rickey Martin recently opened up to the Spanish magazine, TV Aqui that his heart may currently belong to a man OR a woman. I've personally always thought that Martin was gay (shake your bon-bon, anyone?) so this comes as no surprise to me. The only thing that surprises me is why he hasn't fully come out of the closet yet...
