Anorexic Model, Isabelle Caro, Dies at Age 28 ***Warning: Post Includes Disturbing Images***

HuffingtonPost.com just posted a story announcing the death of French actress/model, Isabelle Carlo. Daniele Dubreuil-Prevot, Caro's acting instructor served as a spokesperson announcing that Caro passed away on November 17th after traveling from Japan back home to France.

Dubreuil-Prevot was vague with details regarding Caro's death, but the model/actress has suffered from anorexia since she was 13, and Dubreuil-Prevot stated that Caro "Had been sick for a very long time".

Disturbing photographs of the paper-thin actress/model were released for an anti-anorexia ad campaign in Italy in 2007. The pictures can be seen below:

Carlo appeared on the television showThe Price of Beauty where she discussed her struggles with anorexia. She has been quoted as saying that one of her fashion designers was partially to blame for her anorexia, as she was told she would need to "lose 10 kilos if you want to be in the fashion world" (10 kilos is equal to approximately 23 pounds). After hearing this, Caro literally starved herself, refusing to eat anything, causing an eating disorder that Carlo failed to recover from.

Caro's anorexia gave her several near-death experiences in the past. In 2006, Caro's weight dropped to just 55 pounds and she ended up in a coma. At the time, it seemed very unlikely that Carlo would survive. Her survival was deemed nothing short of a miracle, and Carlo was then determined to beat her anorexia by slowly eating more and more.

Some other side effects of Caro's disease were extremely brittle hair that constantly fell out, tooth loss, and dried out skin. Caro had this to say about her appearance in the past, "I'm not beautiful, my hair is ruined and I know I will never have long hair again. I've lost several teeth. My skin is dry. My breasts have fallen. No young girl wants to look like a skeleton...You couldn't believe anyone would want to look like that. I don't think there's any question about it."

Caro also tried to raise awareness about her disorder by organizing a law to send to Parliament against the use of dangerously thin models. Such a law would help to crack down on anorexia in the modeling world, because dangerously underweight models would be prohibited from modeling until they gained a certain amount of weight. Unfortunately, Caro never fully recovered from her disorder and lost her battle on November 17, 2010.

This news absolutely breaks my heart and fills me with a heightened sense of rage against our society. What can we say about a society that pushes individuals to lose so much weight, to look a certain way, that it literally kills them? This is really not right. Beauty is not skin deep. Beauty is not all about physical attributes. It's so much deeper than that. It's about making a difference in the world. It's about being a good person. It's about doing well for others and yourself. There is nothing about Isabelle Caro's anorexia that was beautiful. I would love to know the name of the designer that told Caro to lose weight. I'd love to see what she has to say now. Yes, I'm sure Caro had other problems long before that comment was made, but at the same time, that designer definitely triggered Caro's eating disorder. That designer is definitely someone deserving of blame for her death. I truly think that if nothing else, that designer should lose her job over this.

I hope that the sad tragedy of Isabelle Caro is never lost. I hope that this is a story that people will remember for a long time...the story of a model who was once beautiful, but was made to feel ugly. A beautiful model who, thanks to one stupid comment, could not see her own beauty, and was literally destroyed while trying to search for and achieve something she had right from the beginning. I hope that everyone remembers the work and awareness that Caro tried to bring about for anorexia prior to her death. Our world needs stricter modeling laws/rules and regulations. No model should ever be 55 pounds like Caro was. There is nothing beautiful about that at all. Any model that is below normal weight should not be allowed to model at all. By accepting underweight models...and telling these underweight models to lose more weight, modeling agencies are single-handily causing eating disorders to occur. This is an extreme tragedy that really shouldn't even exist at all. Our society needs to really come together now and help prevent this from occurring in the future.

Could Drugs Have Aided Brittany Murphy's Untimely Death?

Perezhilton.com is reporting that many of Brittany Murphy's friends have claimed that the fallen actress was addicted to painkillers, such as Vicoden. Vicoden is an extremely powerful painkiller often used after major surgeries, or in Murphy's case, plastic surgery. The drug was also brought into the light after the death of Michael Jackson. Friends of Murphy are making claims that Murphy's abuse of the drug could have triggered her death, similar to how it did for MJ.

Official autopsy results are still waiting to be reported.

Are you surprised by this accusation? Or did you expect that Murphy's death may have been due to fowl play?

Actress, Brittany Murphy, Dead at 32.

New York Daily News is reporting that Brittany Murphy just died at the age of 32 due to cardiac arrest.

Attempts were made to revive the actress early this morning when the emergency call came through, but they were not successful.

Murphy is best known for her acting roles in 8 Mile, Just Married, Uptown Girls, Clueless, and Sin City.

Murphy is one of my personal favorite actresses. I will personally miss seeing her in films, and I am sure that the rest of the world will miss her as well. My heart goes out to friends and family of Murphy.

DJ AM Found Dead in NYC Apartment

Famed American DJ, DJ AM was found dead in his NYC apartment early this evening.

Cops broke into his apartment and found his body after family and friends of the late DJ filed a missing person report due to concern that grew out of not hearing from the DJ for several days.

It is still not clear what he died from, but there has been strong evidence that he died from a drug overdose.

The cops found DJ AM lying face-down on his bed, surrounded by drugs and drug paraphernalia such as a crack pipe and several pills.

DJ AM previously battled a serious drug addiction. However, the DJ has been sober for quite some time and even helped his former girlfriend, Nicole Richie, to beat her addiction to narcotics. However, a case of post traumatic stress caused by the DJ's near death incident after a serious plane crash last September toppled with a recent breakup from his girlfriend, Haley Wood may have played a role in the DJ'S drug relapse.

DJ AM was one of the greatest DJ's of my time. He will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Billy Mays was a Druggie? Who Knew?

An official autopsy of the late infomercial actor, Billy Mays, was released today and the results are rather alarming.

While heart disease was still a primary cause of his death, there were also a series of drugs found in his system. Some of these drugs include cocaine, Oxycontin, Valium, and anti-anxiety medications. However, it has been reported that the results show that the drugs were consumed a few days before his death rather than right before his death. Heart disease was still the primary factor in his death, but the drugs definitely could have triggered his death.

Wow. I never saw Billy Mays as being someone to use drugs, especially not cocaine. It just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by it's cover...

Alexis Cohen Killed in a Homicide in Seaside Heights, NJ

A few months back I blogged about how disappointed I was in the producer's choice to ban Alexis Cohen from auditioning for the 9th season of American Idol. I never imagined that today I would be blogging about my shock, sadness, and anger about her death. Just yesterday, where a majority of my Jersey friends were probably at the shore getting their tan on, Cohen was killed in a homicide hit and run incident. No further details have been released.

Cohen was made famous for her terrible auditions she's given during the last two years and for cursing out the judges when they told her she couldn't sing. She was absolutely hilarious and will forever be missed.

Here's a video to remember Cohen by:
