R.I.P. Art Clokey, Father of the Hit Show, "Gumby"

PopEater.com is reporting that the creator of the beloved claymation show, Gumby, Art Clokey, has just died in his sleep. He was 88 years old. The cause of his death is unknown, but his son has stated that his father constantly suffered from bladder infections.

Gumby made its debut on tv in the 1950's. It was the first show ever to primarily use clay as a form of animation.

Clokey will be missed by all of his fans, but "Gumby" will live on in our hearts forever.
