As Adam Lambert Suffers from Identity Crisis, Jesse McCartney Offers to Help.
In a recent interview with MTV News, singer/actor Jesse McCartney declared his desire to work with the openly flamboyant and controversial Idol star, Adam Lambert.
McCartney described Lambert's first single, For Your Entertainment as being "unfocused" and he also stated that he would like to help Lambert find a more solid musical direction.
Lambert has also admitted that he suffered from a minor case of identity crisis while making his debut album.
McCartney further shared that a collaboration with Lambert would create a sound similar to Queen, where it would "glam-rock" and "not to pop-ish". If this unlikely duo ever come together to record a duet, don't expect it to turn out sounding like McCartney's hit, "Beautiful Soul".

Adam Lambert is Gay (What a Shock), A Druggie, and has a crush on Kris Allen.
It's just one day before the new issue of The Rolling Stone is released, but pretty much the entire interview with Adam Lambert has already been placed on their website. In the interview Adam Lambert officially comes out of the closet (Gee, what a shock...I thought he was straight....NOT). He also admits that he had a crush on Kris Allen who he called "cute" and definitely "his type", unfortunately for him Allen is a newly wed and straighter than a board. Lambert also admits to previously smoking weed and using Ecstasy, but he doesn't like cocaine. Hm. Maybe all of those drugs are the reason why Lambert is so messed up now?
Adam Lambert doesn't need to join Queen; He already is a Drag Queen!
Ever since Adam Lambert performed a duet with Queen at the American Idol finale there has been speculation of him replacing the late Freddie Mercy. However, after seeing this picture, I don't think he needs to join Queen, Lambert already has already proven to be a drag queen without being a member of the band.
There's been a lot of controversy today about the American Idol results last week. Apparently some AT&T representatives attended a party in Arkansas and handed out cell phones and gave lessons on how to text. It's being said that the representatives even taught party-goers how to cheat and send multiple text vote at once. Since Arkansas is Kris Allen's home town, many people believe that this cheating could have been the reason why Allen won.
However, the American Idol spokespeople have stated that Kris won fair and square, and he apparently won by a mile.
If the sales number of the final 2 contestant's singles are any indicator, Kris Allen is America's favorite choice.
Kris Allen has sold a total of 134,458 copies of his version of "No Boundaries" this week, while runner-up Adam Lambert has only sold a mere 35,948 copies. Ouch! Burn Lambert, Burn!
Tmz has stated that Clay Aiken has recently been dissing the show that made him famous, American Idol. He stated that the show was only good for seasons 1-3, when the contestants were "real". He also stated that Adam Lambert's horrific version of "Ring of Fire" made his "Ears Bleed".
I can kind of understand what Clay said about the show. It seems like it has been getting kind of old. However, I'd extend it a year and say the show was best for seasons 1-4. I also wouldn't dis a show that is the sole reason for my fame if I were him.
Another thing, it seems really ironic to me that he would be dissing Adam Lambert so much since he recently went to the Idol set to try to talk to him about collaborating on a duets album. Hm. Could it be jealousy? Or is it just Aiken's way of fighting back since he was denied the right to talk or go anywheres near Lambert on the show?
During the American Idol finale last night, the cameras aimed towards the audience to show Suri Cruise and her mother, Katie Holmes (or is it Katie Cruise?). They showed the their reaction after Adam Lambert's performance, and they, like myself, were in pain by Lambert's screeches. Suri even covered her ears to protect herself from the painful noise! The Cruise family are clearly NOT fans of Adam Lambert!
Adam Lambert opened up the finale by performing "Mad World" for his fan favorite song. It wasn't as painful as the first time he performed it. He didn't screach as much, but he made the weird faces which ruined it. I hate the trench coat he wore. It looks like he's a puppy trying to be a big dog...or Adam Lambert trying to be Marilyn Manson...it just didn't work. The judges were luke-warm to it. Randy and Kara loved it. Paula said it was theatrical, but I think she meant it as a compliment? And Simon said it was too theatrical.
Kris Allen's fan favorite song was "Ain't No Sunshine". He performed it with the piano and I loved it. This is probably my favorite song that Kris performs. It's beautiful. All of the judges loved it and Simon declared that round one went to Kris.
For the producer's choice song Adam got stuck singing "A Change is Gonna Come". To me it wasn't really any different from "Mad World". Adam didn't screech as much but he still made those weird faces. He looked like he was going to bust out crying any minute. The judges all loved it and Paula said it was her favorite performance.
The producers chose "What's Going On" for Kris Allen's second performance. He sang with an acoustic guitar, bongos, and few other instruments. I thought it was pretty good. I don't think it was the greatest song in the world for him to sing, but he didn't have a choice. I think he did about the most he could've done with the song. Kara and Paula seemed to like it, but Randy and Simon did not. Simon went as far as to say "It was like three guys in a bed room". Round 2 clearly went to Adam.
Round three was the worst. The contestants sang the same song...the song that will be their first single if they win. The song was written by American Idol judge Kara. It is called "No Bondaries" and it proves that when it comes to awful song writing, Kara has "No Boundaries". The song is truely awful. Both Kris and Adam sounded terrible. I guess it would be less painful to here Kris' version, but either one would be radio suicide. I think Kris and Adam tied on this one?
So if they tied in round three, that means it's an overall tie.
The show closed with Carrie Underwood singing "Home". Her performance was by far the best performance of the night. It's too bad she can't re-win the compeition. lol.
So who does everyone think will win? Adam Lambert is the favored winner by far, but according to dialidol.com, Kris Allen is in the lead with 66% of the votes. Well, that sure makes things more interesting...
Rubben Studdard will not be appearing at the American Idol Season 8 Finale
According to TMZ.com, American Idol Season 8 winner, Ruben Studdard will not be making an apperance at the finale because he can not afford the fight and American Idol refuses to pay the cost.
What a slap in the face. I mean, the guy is a former American Idol champ, shouldn't that automatically buy him an invite to the event, free of cost?
Don't feel too bad, Ruben, at least you weren't denied the right to talk to Adam Lambert like Clay Aiken was...
According to Rickey.org, American Idol's season 8 finalist were all brought together again for a dinner at an Outback Steakhouse. Love was definitely in the air for the contestants, as finalists Anoop Desai and Megan Joy got cozy with each other and confirmed that they are indeed a couple.
Another finalist that showed up to dinner with a mate is the ever-so-popular Adam Lambert. The identification of Lambert's boyfriend is unknown, but he has confirmed that it is his boyfriend, not just his friend, thus confirming the rumors that he is gay.
All throughout this season of American Idol Adam Lambert has practically been worshipped as a God. I can't remember the last time he was criticized by any of the judges for his performance. Was he ever even criticized? Just last week Simon begged voters to vote for Adam (not that he really needed the judges to beg the viewers to vote for him...) and Katy Perry lost a large amount of my respect for her by pimping out Adam Lambert as she wore a cape with his name on it during her performance on Idol.
With this being said it makes perfect sense that Adam Lambert is in the finale. As Simon Cowell says, he's a "ding-dong". He will inevitably win American Idol season 8 because everyone loves him, right?
Maybe not.
Chris Daughtry, lead singer of the band, Daughtry and past Idol contestant (whom many will argue should have won season 6) is not rooting for Adam Lambert.
The highly sucessful platinum-selling artist admitted that he is not into Adam Lambert and is instead rooting for Kris Allen to win Season 8 of American Idol. TMZ has a video where Chris Daughtry explains that Adam Lambert isn't his "type".
I guess Adam Lambert is too "GLAM" for Daughtry...
I'm a little late, but Happy New Year everyone! This is the first blog post for the new year!
It's been a couple days since I last blogged. I'll admit it, I've been slacking. I've just been so busy lately!
I found some more good American Idol spoilers though! Vote for the Worst posted about Matthew Zachary, who is 16 and supposively made it to hollywood. He is adorable and he supposively sang "Tainted Love", which is one of my all-time favorite songs, for his audition. I hope this information is accurate and I hope he goes far! Information is limited on him, but just by looking at him I think he's already won my vote. lol.
There's also news posted on Vote For The Worst, which they retrieved from JoesPlace about Justin Williams making the top 50. Here is a video from Vote For the Worst of him:
His voice sounds alright but I don't really care for his personality. He reminds me a lot of David Hernandez from Season 7, who got really annoying really fast.
There is also a bit of news floating around about Felicia Barton making the top 36. I liked her at first. She has a really funky vibe to her and a unique voice, but as the song went on I began to not like her so much. She sounds like she's screeching and shouting the song. I don't know. Maybe it's the song. Once I hear her perform on American Idol I'll be able to determine whether I like her or not. I've noticed through these past few years that for better or for worst, contestants usually sound a lot different on American Idol than they do on pre-idol recordings.
Vote for the worst also has a new picture of Adam Lambert up. The guy looks like a nut. He looks like he's going to be even worst than Sanjaya was. He's going to be the judges new nightmare and Vote For The Worst's new king.
As you probably know by now, the new season of American Idol kicks off on January 13th. However, that's still over two weeks away. American Idol fans have been waiting since last May for the new season, and we're all anxious and don't want to wait any longer! Luckily, some great blogs out there such as Vote For the Worst, Rickey.org, MJS Big Blog, and JoesPlace have provided us with some spoilers.
It looks like Joanna Pacitti is going to be this year's Carly Smithson. Her name has been coming up frequently on the web at being this year's "pimped out" contestant. Vote For the Worst has even reported that Joanna has strong connections to 19 Entertainment. She also used to be signed to Geffen records. Hmm sounds an awful lot like Carly Smithson so far doesn't it? But what does this mean? Last year Carly Smithson who was supposively going to be the most pimped out contestant ever never got a break from Simon. She didn't even make it into the top five. Now that the season has ended, Carly Smithson's career is just about over. No cd out yet and no one is as interested in her.
I'm listening to her take on Dashboard Confessional's "Screaming Infedelities" right now. It's so weird. It's supposed to be a sad, depressing song and Joanna made it happy. I hate it. Her voice isn't that bad, but she just butchered one of my favorite songs with it. She soundswhiny, too. I don't know. Maybe once I hear her perform on American Idol I'll like her more. Right now I think she's going to be an annoying, whiny, overrated girl.
I personally love Jackie Mendez. I think she's got a great voice, but I don't think she has the potential to win. She was a failed contestant on The One (the same show that Syesha Mercado was a part of prior to Idol) and she used to be signed to Elektra records. It seems like this season is going to be following the same trend as last season by having several contestants who have already had a record deal in the past. I hate how they do that. Yeah, they get good singers from it, but it's not fair for the people that try out without ever having had a break. American Idol is about finding new talent, not failed artists.

Another notable rumored top 50 contestant is Adam Lambert.
I think he has the potential to be this season's Sanjaya Malaker, or Danny Norweigan at the least. He looks so tacky and ridiculous. Based on his myspace he seems very carefree. American Idol will hate him and will probably go out of their way to make sure he doesn't get in the top 12. Vote for the Worst already loves him and wants him to be their worster. Also, within 24 hours of Vote for the Worst posting information up about him, he deleated several myspace pictures and changed his name to 'Hiatus". hmmm...
There's several other names that have been leaked as being in the top 50, but these are the three that have caught my attention the most so far. Look for more updates soon!
