Lily Allen Hospitalized for Potentially Fatal Blood Poisoning

Just days after confirming the lost of her unborn child, Lily Allen has once again found herself stuck in the hospital seeking treatment for potentially fatal blood poisoning.

The blood poisoning condition that Allen is suffering from is called Septicemia. According to Google Health, Septicemia is usually caused by other infections within the body. Individuals suffering from Septicemia have only a 50% chance of surviving and are required to be treated in a hospital environment, often times through ICU.

Allen's rep has released a statement that says that the singer is responding well to treatment. However, it is still a very serious condition, because, according to Google Health, the condition has the potential to worsen at an extremely rapid pace.

My heart goes out to Lily Allen and her family during this difficult time. I wish Allen a very speedy, full recovery!

Swine Flu Vaccinate to be Available in October

Perezhilton.com is reporting that America's Secretary of Health and Human Services stated that a vaccination against the swine flu will be available for release around October. Testing of the vaccination will go into effect as early as August. Wow! That was fast! If we can make a vaccination against a flu that hasn't killed all that many people, how come we still don't have a vaccine against cancer or aids that kills millions of people each year?
