Reading Rainbow Retires After 26 Years


One of the longest running and most well-known and beloved children's shows, Reading Rainbow has come to an end. The show, which is hosted by LeVar Burton, aired on PBS for 26 consecutive years.

The show encouraged young children to read to learn more about the world and to expand their overall knowledge. The series has won many awards such as Emmies and videos of the show have frequently been shown in schools all across the nation.

The show is coming to an end due to lack of funds.

It is unknown as to whether or not reruns will air.
