Clay Aiken Lands a New Record Deal with Decca Records
Decca Records recently announced their decision to sign American Idol season 2 runner up, Clay Aiken.
Aiken and his former label, RCA, parted ways a few months ago. Aiken is expected to release a new album with Decca Records in early 2010. There's no word yet on which type of record he will be making, but hopefully it will consist of original songs, not covers.
Signing to Decca Records probably wasn't Aiken's smartest choice. Most of the artists signed to Decca are unknown, with the exception of Boyz II Men and Ladyhawk. It's definitely not as big or as successful as RCA is.
It's good that Aiken will be getting back to making music, but I still think his career is going down the drain.
Labels: American Idol, American Idol Season 2, Boyz II Men, Clay Aiken, Decca Records, Ladyhawk, RCA
